Crabclaw cottage is an old fisherman's cottage tucked away in the Jewel of the north Norfolk coast and only a minute's walk from the creeks and beaches. It has off road private parking and a boat house for bikes and boat storage. Featuring a luxury king-size bedroom and contemporary amenities combined with comfortable cottage features you will find it a perfect hideaway at any time of the year!

Local Information

Burnham Overy Staithe is a tidal harbour less than two minutes walk away, there is a ferry running at high tide to beautiful Scolt Head island, which has acres of sandy beaches and dunes. There are wonderful walks, bird watching, and salt marshes, pubs to visit, and time to relax and watch the sailing boats come in and out on the tide.

The Hero

In the village is a good local pub, 'The Hero', which does good traditional food. You will have to book during high season.

Burnham Market

Burnham Market is a lovely village, with good restaurants. Socius is our favourite, but you will have to book nearly all year round, it is closed in Jan. There are also other cafes and restaurants, some very good fashion shops and much more.

Houghton Hall

The stylish walled garden is a gardeners dream, there is also a beautiful house and park, a cafe selling really delicious food, and shops. They do different contemporary modern art installations every summer. Limited summer openings only. NB. There is a very strict dog policy, please check there website.

Park Runs are available at the following places: Holkham Hall, Sandringham, Sheringham Park (hard to believe In flat Norfolk), but very hilly, and challenging, Blickling Park.
